Mountains, kiddos and businesses

Hi, I am Britt and I am stoked you’re here. I bring firsthand experience from building and running businesses from the ground up. In 2017, I founded Stay Wild Backcountry Skills in Golden, BC and grew it into a company with 14 employees offering avalanche safety courses across 7 locations throughout British Columbia. Building that business taught me a lot – not just about entrepreneurship, but about burnout, clarity, and the importance of strong brand positioning.

Looking back, having a deeper understanding of market research, messaging, and where the business truly fit within the industry would have saved countless hours of pure hustle.

Stay Wild also unexpectedly led me to graphic design. Like many small business owners, I wore every hat in the business, and I quickly realized the design and branding side was the work I was most drawn to. I loved creating visuals, shaping the customer experience, and building a brand that felt cohesive and intentional. That passion led me to pursue Graphic Design through BCIT, where I completed my certificate and discovered just how much I love the balance of strategy and creativity that great branding requires.

Today, I continue to take courses and expand my knowledge because I strongly believe learning never stops. In many ways, graphic design reminds me of avalanche education — there is always more to learn, refine, and understand. Both require curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to keep growing.

At the core of all of this is family. We have two amazing little kiddos who are our world, and we deeply value building a life with more balance, clarity, and time for what matters most. That perspective shapes the way I approach branding. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to balance business, family, and everything in between. My goal is to help simplify the branding process, provide clear direction, and create thoughtful systems that save you time while helping your business stand out with confidence.
